Gathering Goodness At Gather

Gather Cafe Bistro Bar in Talent is one of my favorite "healthy-comfort", go-to places to eat. Sometimes we just pop in for appetizers and other times just dessert. It's one of those places I can just pop in and feel at home whenever I fancy just one certain thing or the whole shabang.
Every time we go, I feel like I am returning to a friend's house—it’s that familiar and comfy. The kind of place where the food is always made from scratch, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and it feels relaxing to be there.
Let’s talk about the food. Their cauliflower appetizer is absolutely delicious—light, crispy, and tossed in the perfect sweet chili sauce. I would say it is one of top favorite appetizers in all of Southern Oregon, it is that good!!!
And their chocolate flourless torte? Pure decadence. Again one of my top favorites when it comes to desserts in Southern Oregon.
When I want something hearty, I love their salmon dinner—it’s always fresh, beautifully cooked, and consistently good. It's also one of the few places around where you can order a lamb burger, if you happen to like that. If you are vegan they have a great stir fry or tofu pesto dish I recommend.
Gather is in an old building (I think it used to be a gas station?), but they’ve transformed it into such a homey, cozy space. In the winter the fireplace is going and in the summer, the outdoor seating is perfect for a casual meal with friends. It’s just one of those places where locals naturally gather—whether it’s for a quick bite, happy hour, or a lingering dinner.
If you go here and cruz their menu you will see that they have something for everyone.
The owners, Sumesh and Dimple Bakshi, have a deep love for food, and it shows. They’ve created something really special here for the community.
Gather is open daily from 11 AM to 8 PM, with happy hour from 3 PM to 5 PM (Monday–Saturday). If you haven’t been, you’re missing out!
Have you eaten there? If so what have you tried that you like? Have you had the chocolate torte? Comment below.
