The Applegate Valley in Southern Oregon is a breathtaking region filled with rolling vineyards, scenic beauty, and fantastic local experiences.

Wine lovers can explore the Applegate Wine Trail, home to 19 distinctive wineries offering some of the best local vintages.

For outdoor fun, Cantrall Buckley Park is a wonderful spot with swimming areas, shaded picnic spaces, botanical sculptures, and a playground for families to enjoy. The Provolt Recreation Site is another great place to relax, with plenty of open space for picnicking, walking along the river and taking in the natural surroundings.​​

Local markets (see home page for days and times for all of the Farmer's Markets) bring the community together, with the Williams Farmers Market every Monday and The Lindsay Wednesday Evening Market running from May through October, offering fresh produce, artisan goods, and live music in a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere.

One of the highlights of the summer is the Southern Oregon Lavender Festival, happening June 20–22 and July 11–13, 2025, where visitors can tour stunning lavender farms, listen to live music, and enjoy a variety of lavender-inspired activities. Participating farms include The English Lavender Farm, Dos Mariposas Vineyards & Lavender, Goodwin Creek Gardens, and Lavender Fields Forever, among others.
