The 2025 lineup includes Yacht Rock Revue on June 8 and the Britt Festival Orchestra’s "Jurassic Park in Concert" on June 12-13.

Doc Griffin Park & Splash Pad

Located in the heart of town at 298 South 5th Street, Doc Griffin Park is a fantastic spot for families. It features a large playground, open green space, picnic tables, and a covered pavilion. One of its biggest highlights is the Splash Pad, perfect for kids to cool off during the summer months. Jacksonville Forest Park

Just two miles from downtown, this stunning 1,100-acre park has over 30 miles of trails, winding through lush forestland in the Jackson Creek Watershed. Jacksonville Woodlands

The Jacksonville Woodlands offer a peaceful retreat with 255 acres of preserved land and 18 miles of scenic trails. These well-maintained paths are lined with interpretive signs showcasing the area's wildflowers, wildlife, and rich history. Beekman Arboretum

City-Wide Garage Sale

Every year, Jacksonville hosts its Annual City-Wide Garage Sale, a much-anticipated event that transforms the entire town into a treasure hunter’s paradise. I sometimes call it Trick Or Treat for adults! Usually held the weekend after Labor Day.

Locals and visitors alike flock to this historic community to browse hundreds of sales spread throughout town, offering everything from antiques and collectibles to furniture, clothing, and one-of-a-kind finds. It’s a fun-filled weekend of bargain hunting, meeting friendly locals, and enjoying the charm of Jacksonville while scoring some great deals.
